Secretary of State Steve Simon welcomed community college students to the Minnesota Student Leadership Summit today. He challenged students to return Minnesota to #1 in the country in youth voting.
"Groups like LeadMN are doing the training and interactions with people to make sure they exercise their right to vote...this culture of voting, of participating, of making their voices heard extends across age ranges - students in particular are more and more and more acknowledging and embracing the power they have to shape outcomes; and understanding that the way to do that is at the ballot box.
